* 投稿摘要： Background Clinically, the changes of ratio between lactate and pyruvate are used as the indicators of tissue energy production as well as metabolic acidosis and reduction. The prompt determination of lactate and pyruvate in blood expedites the diagnosis and treatment of carbohydrate related diseases, also reflects the status of tissue oxidation and reduction. The lactate measurement is the most powerful tool in differentiating and monitoring lactic acidosis. In normal persons, the ratio of lactate versus pyruvate is 10 to 1. Thus, the two purposes of this study are as follow. The first is to establish the reference ranges of lactate and pyruvate in blood. The second is to assess the effect of tourniquet during blood collection to the concentrations of lactate and pyruvate.
