* 投稿摘要： Phellinus igniarius has been published recently for multiple medical purposes as an effective treatment as cancer therapy and hepato-protection. The potential anti-carcinogenesis-effect extracts from Phellinus igniarius was confirmed by our previous study. However, no reference was published for investigating the anti-lung cancer by the potential anti-carcinogenesis-effect extracts. In this study, the inhibition of lung cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth by phellinus igniarius extracts was performed to investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms. The results indicated that phellinus igniarius extracts significantly decreased cell proliferation by a dose-dependent manner in Human lung cancer cell lines (A549). Flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that phellinus igniarius extracts induced cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase. phellinus igniarius extracts increased the apoptotic protein caspase3/7/9 and decreased the anti-apoptotic protein BCL in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that phellinus igniarius extracts could inhibit human lung cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth, and might be a potential drug for chemotherapy.
