* 投稿摘要： A 68-year-old male of acute myeloid leukemia(M2) noted since January 2013 and patient who was admitted due to pneumonia documeuted bacteremia by isolating Mycobacterium tuberculosis from BACTEC FX blood culture system in February 2013.During his admission one set of blood culture were collected and were reported as positive.Gram stain of microscopic examination revealed atypical gram-positive bacilli and displayed serpentine cording appearance.Due to no microbial growth on aerobic agar plates in the first two days. We performed Ziehl-Neelsen stain and found the acid-fast organism.The microorganism was subsequently identified as Mycobacterium tuberculosis by biochemical method.Laboratory should have awareness of performing mycobacteria culture when encountering an atypical gram-positive bacilli pathogen accompanying with delayed aerobic culture result
