* 投稿摘要： Human osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone tumor. Ouabain can be found in many organ of Acokanthera schimperi and Strophanthus gratus plants and has been reported that ouabain has anticancer activities on many human cancer cells. There is no report to show that the anticancer effects of ouabain in human osteosarcoma cells. In the present study, we investigated the anti-metastasis effects of ouabain in human osteosarcoma (U-2 OS) cells. U-2 OS cells were treated with various concentration of ouabain and then to investigate the anti-metastasis effects in vitro. In our data, we found that ouabain decreased the secretion of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-2) and inhibited the ability of migration and invasion. These results indicated that ouabain suppress metastasis in U-2 OS cells. Finally, we suggest that ouabain may have a potential to be an anti-metastasis agent on human osteosacoma cells (U-2 OS) in the future.
