* 投稿摘要：	Agaricus blazei Murrill, an edible mushroom belonging to the Agaricaceae family, is native to southern Brazil and is popularly known as ‘‘Himematsutake” in Japan. It is used widely as a medicinal and functional food (rather than for nutritional purposes) because it has potent medicinal properties. In this research we evaluated the genotoxicity by chromosome structure aberration test using culture Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. With or without metabolic activation by S9 mix isolated from liver of rats, continuous treatments of this study were performed within 3-50 mg/mL concentration-ranges of Agaricus blazei Murrill. By a series of different concentrations of treatment, Agaricus blazei Murrill was not genotoxic and only caused few chromosome ring, breakage and gap on CHO cells as demonstrated by the chromosomal aberration assay. Chromosome dicentrics, exchange and multiple alterations were not observed in any S9 mixture at 3 or 20 h incubation. Hence, the genotoxic was considered to be not significant to negative control and it is not necessary to analyze the correlation between concentration and reaction trend.
