* 投稿摘要: With the increasing clinical importance of rapidly growing mycobacteria (RGM) and the diverse resistance pattern of them, a comparative study was conducted to understand the drug susceptibility patterns of RGM in KVGH and to evaluate the suitable testing method for clinical laboratories. Minimal inhibitory concentrations of antimicrobial agents were determined for 25 clinical isolates of RGMs, including M. abscessus (17 isolates) and M. fortuitum (8 isolates) by broth microdilution (Sensititre RAPMYCOI panel ) and Etest. Regarding the testing result of microdilution, nearlly 88% of the RGMs were susceptible to amikacin;88% M. abscussus and 88% M. fortuitum, respectively. The fluroquinolones (ciprofloxacin and moxifloxacin) showed better in vitro activities against M. fortuitum (50%) isolates than M. abscessus (35%) isolates. Clarithromycin was active against M. abscessus isolates, but showed a high resistant rate against M. fotuitum isolates. The susceptibilities to other conventional antimycobacteria agents of these isolates were poor (less than half of the tested strains remained susceptible).The accuracy of Etest was evaluated by comparing results to those obtained by broth microdiution (Sensititre RAPMYCOI panel ). The Etest in this evaluation did not perform as well as microdilution for susceptibility testing in RGM. In all the cases, the MICs of Etest were higher and would have caused reports of false resistance. In summary, the resistance of RGM is high and may differ in different species and over time demonstrates the importance of in vitro susceptibility testing of clinical important isolates. As correspond to the gold standard testing method for RGM, broth microdilution, the Sensititre RAPMYCOI panel showed the potential value for use in clinical laboratories.
