* 投稿摘要：	Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune disorder induced by autoantibodies against the components of the skin basement membrane zone. BP is the most common autoimmune blistering disease, which is most prevalent in the elderly but can also appear in younger people. Clinically, tense blisters, erosions and crusts with itchy urticarial plaques and erythema develop on the skin. Anti-basement membrane zone antibodies (BMZ Ab) may be detected in the sera of most of the patients. Direct and indirect immunofluorescent studies are routine diagnostic tests to detect autoantibodies in these diseases. Elevated serum total IgE levels and increased eosinophil counts are observed in BP and these may be indicative of a severer form of the disease. We herein reported a 71-year-old man with itchy skin lesions for 1 month. He suffered from larger erythematous papules on the arms, chest, abdomen, and back. In this report, indirect immunofluorescence examination detected the binding of anti-BMZ Ab from serum along the epidermal side of the separated skin, with a titer of 1:320. The IgE level was 787 IU/mL and eosinophil count was 11.4%. Several previous studies have identified that elevated circulating IgE levels were observed in 70% of BP patients. Our results suggest that elevated serum IgE play an important role in BP patients.
