* 投稿摘要： Antrodia camphorata (AC), a native tree fungus to Taiwan, has been published recently for multiple medical purposes as an effective treatment as folk medicine for cancer therapy and hepatoprotection. However, no reference was published for investigating the anti-cancer effects for colon cancer. Epidemiological studies have indicated that colon cancer is one of the leading cancer of death in Taiwan. At patient, surgical therapy and chemotherapy are the major strategies for the cure of colon cancer. The chemotherapeutic drugs are usually designed to induce cancer cell death via cell cycle arrest and/or apoptosis pathways. In this study, we used an extracts of Antrodia camphorate extracts to inhibit colon cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth, and investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms. Human colon cancer cell lines (SW620) was used in this study, and found Antrodia camphorate extracts significantly decreased cell proliferation by a dose-dependent manner in cells. Flow cytometry demonstrated that Antrodia camphorate extracts induced cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase. When analysis the expression of cell cycle-related proteins, we found that Antrodia camphorate extracts increased caspase3/7/9 and PARP in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that Antrodia camphorate extracts could inhibit human colon cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth, and might be a potential drug for chemotherapy.
